Had a short break on the North Sea coast, staying in a sleepy seaside village that used to be a popular summer destination in the 70s or 80s. Rainy and windy, but having the whole beach to yourself was lovely. Spent the day drinking coffee, eating cake, fish and chips and watching the tides and the container ships pass by. There wasn't much else to do really. Dinner was served until 7pm, most restaurants were closed by 8 🤷‍♂️ #Nordsee #NorthSea #beach #traintravel #travel
