The data is clear: Europe is warming twice as fast as the global average. While some use lies to distract us, the reality is that the next climate refugees will be us: families in Spain, Portugal, or Italy forced to flee because it is simply too hot. Climate change is a cross-border crisis that demands a genuinely European solution. As the only real pan-European party, Volt is fighting for collective action.

@VoltEuropa@mstdn.social Climate refugees could be caused not only by rising temperatures, but also by rising sea levels, for countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark, or the Veneto region of Italy.

@VoltEuropa@mstdn.social It's important to remember that there is a temperature where roots of plants will simply die. For these areas the future is to turn into a desert.
