    @mrzarquon@mastodon.social @hzulla@infosec.exchange @lkanies@hachyderm.io Sadly, although we've released all that carbon by burning prehistoric biological material, when they captured it they did it over a very very very long time. We then released it all in a century. Whilst replanting is a wonderful thing for other reasons, it's not a realistic strategy to help with CO2 capture. The rate plants capture CO2 is too low compared to how fast we've pumped it out and burnt it.
