This whole “let’s colonise space” doctrine (from Musk to German BMFTR) is very quick to ruin space big time. How long would it take them to trash Mars if they ever went there? And then, just run it all into the ground, one solar system, one galaxy at a time? What is even the positive vision here that people are falling for?! (My hunch is that the embrace of one-sided collapse narratives doesn’t help.)
