I feel like the general decline of ironing happened sometime in Gen X, with Millennials having done away with most ironing at this point, save for the occasional dress shirt. Every (few) time(s) I’ve heard about ironing and folding underwear, it was someone’s baby boomer parent. Folding seems different though, as LaundryTok is real to this day. (One of my favorites being Melissa Pateras.)
