@DaveWhittle@mastodon.social because doing anything would hurt their short term profits and their own investments. Plainly stating the fact publicly would cause a panic on the markets and that also would cause investment losses. Unless something drastically changes in who we elect to the highest positions this will stay like this to the end. The rich will never ever say this aloud.
