Scarlet Ibis (Eudocimus ruber). Their vibrant red color is entirely diet-dependent. If they don’t eat enough carotene-rich food, like shrimp and small crabs, its feathers will eventually fade to a dull pink or white during its next molt. #birds #wildlife #nature #biology
