There's already mandatory evacuation for one zone. Like a lot of western states, Oregon is split up into fire evacuation zones. If you live in any sort of rural area you try to remember your zone. There are apps that will notify you when your zone has an evacuation order and let you monitor fires. One of the uses for apps that I approve of.

WatchDuty is an app that has info on fires. Formed by a tech person who moved to rural property in California and found there wasn't much info for ongoing fires. Rather than try to get richer off it, they made it a non profit. They have humans who monitor all the fire radio and other sources and post concise timely reports on the app. The app also links to the network of fire cams. You can watch the positions of fire fighting aircraft. That might be a premium thing. This is one of the few apps that I'll pay for a premium sub. Lately they have integrated weather station and air quality info.
