The #sunspot-littered #Sun at 14:42 UTC today, taken with a #BridgeCamera at high (slightly digital) zoom through old aluminized-mylar eclipse glasses: four of the 6 current groups - https://spaceweather.com/images2026/29jun26/hmi1898.gif - are easily seen, big 4478 and 4479 well resolved into umbra and penumbra and small 4480 and 4475.

The big #sunspots once more today, during another #Bochum (Germany) #sunset: see https://bsky.app/profile/cosmos4u.bsky.social/post/3mphd34hrsk26 for two earlier and two later timesteps. Whole sequence there covering 3 minutes and 20 seconds ... about the duration of a good total solar eclipse. ;-)
