Sat July 18: The Cask & Barrel celebrates the 14th anniversary of their Garage Band Saturday matinee shows with many regular performers. 4-6pm, no cover. Indie pop early show with Far Lane, Chic Chameleon, Robin Cisek at Blakbar. 6pm, $20. Zydeco and bluesy-country-soul add up to something like a classic Bluesfest Saturday night as Buckwheat Zydeco Jr and Crystal Shawanda play the K-Days CKUA Stage. 7:30pm, included in K-Days admission ($19) or $41 for premium seating. Singer-songwriter night with Danny Floyd Cole, Liz Lauer, and Melina Sterling at Tavern on Whyte. Which I didn't know did live music, but maybe they're just bad at advertising the shows. 6pm, $15, 18+. Disco-funk from Five Alarm Funk with Buns and Purple City Disco at The Commercial. 9pm, $25-35, 18+.
