July 18: Chalk It Up Festival on 118 Ave near the Carrot Coffeehouse, with a free pancake breakfast then live music, assorted family fun, and chalk artists on the sidewalks. Free, 9-4pm. July 22 (Wed): All-day Benefit Concert for Canadian Unity at Hawrelak Park has a great line-up of Alberta roots, country, & blues bands. Profits to local charities. 3-10pm, $57. July 25 (Sat): Multicultural Festival at Mill Woods Town Centre. 9:30am-5pm, free. July 30-Aug 2: Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose is still the biggest festival of commercial country music around. $377/Fri-Sun general admission. July 31-Aug 2: Pigeon Lake Music Festival features millennial-friendly rock & roots hits. $275/weekend general admission.
