Not sure what you mean.
Here you can see my calendar, and today I have an event at 19:10 "test from thunderbird".
And at 19:10 it shows up in KDE system notification (and no other window or anything pops up).

@spacebug@n4.mikronod.se if you have event that has multiple notifications set, the system notification is not showed for those, only for when the event starts
