I have a very specific memory of walking down a street in Bristol while I was at uni, on my way to a house party. I could point to exactly where it takes place on a map if I wanted to. I had my head phones in and my mp3 player set to shuffle everything. It jumped into a folder I'd not played before. I remember liking the song. I remember thinking, this is cool I need to listen to more of this. What I can't remember is the song or the artist. Like my memory is completely silent, like I'm standing next to me watching my self, rather than hearing what's in my headphones. Every so often I remember this, in exactly the same way and feel frustrated I don't know what I was listening to and can't go and look them up again.
