Parents should not feel bad about having kids. There's a worry that the earth is over-populated and all the resources will be consumed. Yes, that could happen. But it depends on what we're teaching our children.
People who are raised to be "consumers" will consume resources and take more than they give back to the earth. They create waste and perpetuate exploitative systems. But God created humans to be stewards and caretakers. "Tend the garden," is what God told Adam. "Every seed-bearing plant will be your food."
A single human who cares for things and protects and improves is a net-benefit to humanity and the space cradle we inhabit. Nature by itself is beautiful, but humans can also work collaboratively with nature to improve our world. God indued us with creativity and the capacity to nurture. We can use even use technology to do so, if appropriate.
What matters is what we do ourselves and what we teach our children.
