BREAKING: DOJ filed notices on Thursday night that it will be appealing the preliminary injunctions issued in New York and California barring it from seeking private patient information via grand jury subpoenas about transgender people who received gender-affirming medical care as a minor.

As detailed in the above-linked Law Dork note, an injunction relating to New York City and NYU Langone Health will be appealed to the Second Circuit and a second injunction relating to Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford will be appealed to the Ninth Circuit.
