>its not like they can have a rust resistant coating, it'll just be blown off But the steel can be more corrosion resistant. Imagine a 1950s International Harvester sitting outside in the PNW. With paint peeling off the door. Even months later, the metal looked GOOD. I've seen newer fenders flash rust in a week.
