I'm not going to chart every step of this downward spiral, but these first few days as his coup takes control deserve narrative.
Here he is, out the gate, nakedly wrong, absurdly un-Labour, failing to understand electoral politics. This is one tweet, one moment in time, surrendering at least ten million votes from the crucial centre to the right.
For the sake of... some temporary glazing from Green voters. We're doomed.

I don't want to get into my personal view of the party right now because it doesn't matter, and my thoughts now are going to pale as we collapse back to wild, permanent opposition. I'll come back to it around 2029. But I'm not leaving. I learned my lesson, leaving in 2016 during the Corbyn takeover. I'm staying this time. I'll be here when the next Starmer arrives after another ~20 years of Tory hegemony. May we survive until then. #UKPolitics #UKPol
