I wasted far too much time troubleshooting why my U5G Backup wouldn't appear when connected to the USW Lite 8 PoE, even though the device itself was working fine. The culprit was an old port configuration: I'd previously forced that switch port to 100 Mbps for a UPS 2U. Once I changed the port speed back to Auto, the U5G Backup appeared immediately. Lesson learned: Before diving into complex troubleshooting, always check for leftover non-default configuration. KISS. #UniFi
