Being a rather anti #soccer bird, the Trump initiated wold cup soccer drama was a bit of a fun bit to wake up to. One would think having FIFA award Trump the "FIFA Peace Price", a price created with the sole to stroke Trumps ego, would be hard to top, but as this didn't really affect football directly, it didn't seem to create too much stir. Trump telling FIFA president Infantino to correct the "grave injustice" it was to give a US player a one match suspension after a red card in the previous match. And, of course, Infantino does. I guess Infantino is scared shit of what #Trump may do, should he not do "the masters bidding" (yah, duh, but you gave him the WC!), but this did not land well with other teams. Should the US now beat Belgium (something I hope they do, so this drama can shake up a bit more), it will be very hard for Belgium to accept this loss. As it should. However far the US may go after this will be hard to view as a fair win. Trump's ego makes it hard to keep corruption under a lid.
