@oddtail@meow.social I took painting lessons from a guy named Derek Hegsted, after many months of painting side by side he shared that his sister was better than him, but would never have the opportunity to paint professionally because she was a mother. He had 5 children and a successful career in art, but he didn't do more than father those kids. My mom watched my kids so that I could take those lessons.
