@soatok@furry.engineer To clarify, it had been a thing since 2021. This is "just" a two years extension of a stopgap. Still very problematic of course, but there will be more opportunities to strike it down, including by ensuring that the permanent legislation that replaces it does not allow this sort of mass-scanning. This is still a shameful moment for the EU and a gross violation of the democratic process and that IMO is much more worrisome right now.
