#WritersCoffeeClub June 28. Can a reader ever truly feel what a writer felt while writing? Sometimes not even the writer! I was listening to an audio edition of Naomi Novik's "Buried Deep and Other Stories" and she has some choice comments up front implying that the editors made her write little intros to each story about what she was thinking, and she did, but they are bullshit - she doesn't really remember, and please just enjoy the story ...
