I've been reterminating all of my field event coax, which gets used only occasionally and is usually treated pretty poorly. Tried screw-on compression type clamp fittings this time, and I'm loving them. I couldn't pull one out with all my might, unlike crimped and soldered connectors that pull off pretty easily. (I've watched people connect two lengths and then drag the entire thing across a field; this is an important feature for me.) Easy to install too, even on yucky gooey LMR400. #hamradio

I had decided to just chop the ends on EVERYTHING and start over with connectors from a known good installer (me). Seems like a LOT of hams do a very bad job installing connectors, especially solder type, and most of my coax is used. Now everything I own over 100' is done; time to start looking at all the 50' pieces. Is it sad when you get excited over big pieces of wire? I'm the same way with pro audio gear.
