Wiki reports that Springer Nature sold Sci Am to LabX Media Group earlier this month (June 2026), and it appears the editor (David M. Ewalt) remains in place. There may be more recent news, though, but it wouldn't be about Springer. I've not had much use for Sci Am since Martin Gardner retired, so haven't been following its travails personally.
