@tim@union.place That's kinda where I find it's useful. "Yeah, I can write this script or read this api doc but it's going to take me all day and you already know where to put the semicolons and you read faster than me, so take a shot at it." As a sysadmin I'm primarily writing glue code which can be complex but generally not so complex I can't eyeball it and pick out the problems. Writing a whole app would be scary for me. I also find it very useful to write configuration files, Ansible playbooks, and other infra supports like that which aren't executable code (but can still make a mess if not reviewed). I literally treat it like a junior team member,, although I tell at it more than I would a human 😃
