One of my neighbors greets the post-heatwave afternoon by flinging the window nearest their piano open and bashing out a medley of Joplin standards with a particular verve. No complaints. #NYC

They're cranking out “The Entertainer" at like 5X speed now, playing bits of it repeatedly to really nail it down, or maybe just tossing it around for fun. I am delighted.

@jmac@masto.nyc Heliotrope Bouquet, a lovely slow drag by Louis Chauvin and Scott Joplin (who is thought to have transcribed Chauvin’s first two parts and contributed the third and fourth two parts).
