I think that the word "guardrails" has really been co-opted by the tech-bros, so much so that I see it as a red flag when someone uses it uncritically. That said, I don't have any reason to doubt your good faith or abilities. I wish you luck in the job hunting. And sorry, again. I probably should have explained from the outset that I find the word "guardrails" problematic.
