3/4 This is data. The LLM nightmare has made moderation kafkaesque. Fediverse has 10,000 admins and even more moderators who don't talk to each other as a whole being asked to do yet another unpaid task battling something that is built excluslvely to pretend to be human. The turing test is over, it's a coinflip. My pitch is becoming "we" need to build a shared, communal collection of moderation as a service. Example: move piecemeal moderation from instances as we do now and start pools of moderators for a collection of common servers.... (10,000 instance with 1 mod vs 100 mod pools with 100 mods for 100 instances) I think @thisismissem is the only person who is working on a similar direction with actual results with FIRES https://hachyderm.io/@thisismissem/112299123543592994

4/4 I'm going to pitch a more formal version of the "FediThreat" concept as a conference presentation and see if I can get some more movement on it... Akismet for fediverse is something I can build even if it's only getting a proof of concept up and running.
