The worst merger decision in Canadian history (and there have been many) must be allowing Roger's to buy SHAW - now not only are they considering selling the mobile division to a US private equity group, but they have shut down vital news radio stations across the country
If you hear any politician claiming competition is key, never believe them - we need to own public interest, not make monopolies

There's always the argument that consolidation will lead to "efficiencies" and thus savings for consumers, and it's always a great big lie. Still, governments and regulators fall for it every time. @MatWright@mastodon.social
