The thing about morality is that it’s a luxury for most people. When you’re put in a position where the only way to survive is to act against your own morals, it kinda breaks all of them. And then you rebuild your morals to fit your situation … and if you then overthink it like I did, you realise how many moral standards are just bullshit.
