I couldn't afford that. I only got four of the 16 GiB ones, and that cost plenty.
I think I know why they're so expensive, though.
The DIMMs were packaged two to an antistatic plastic tray with a transparent lid. Each pair packaged in a fancy printed box. Two of those boxes (four DIMMs) were packaged in another fancy printed box. That box was packaged with some instructions, a polishing cloth, and other BS in a much bigger, much fancier printed box with silver highlights.

The nondescript cardboard box was then put in a plastic DHL bag, that was taped around it. That's 0.9kg of disposable packaging for about 100g of product. I mean, sure, it needs the innermost ESD protection, and a small cardboard box for protection in shipping, but this was ridiculous. 3/
