Stellaris is such an exquisitely bad game. The strangulation of energy supplies in a setting with cold fusion reactor technology and cheap FTL interstellar travel is profoundly mentally retarded.

I spend the early and mid game every run trying to maximize energy production with generator districts and generator planets only to still run out which simply could never happen.
