@agatha@gts.snkrgirl.cfd our only foster cat we've had so far who was disabled was Py, who'd been hit by a car and needed one of his legs amputated. I was absolutely going to adopt him had he not passed away from further complications. The rescue we volunteer with does get a lot of disabled cats, especially blind cats, and they go to fosters who have a lot of experience working with cats with these disabilities. There's one in particular who only fosters blind cats bc she knows exactly what they need, and has her house set up specifically to accommodate blind cats, especially for those who needed their eyes removed due to infection and have to learn how to live while blind. And these fosters also help prospective adopters to learn their cat's needs and how to provide them. And honestly, as fosters, disabled cats and kittens that get very sick are the easiest cats for us to fall in love with. You end up bonding with them on a special level as you take care of them and learn their needs and work more closely with them, and you become protective of them too. Disabled cats can be a lot of work, but frankly, it's so incredibly rewarding to put in that effort for them.
