@chaprot Do you know Adriano Russo's work (2016 dissertation & articles re "Florilegium Thuaneum", the underlying anthology of Vienna 277, Paris. Lat. 8071 and others? He argues (among other things) that Vienna 277 was copied at Lyon with new texts - Juvenal, Persius, Catullus 62, Pervigilium Veneris - into a lost intermediate text = ξ, during the time of Florus and Mannon. And THAT codex then traveled back to Francia where it was copied as Paris. Lat. 8071 by an incompetent scribe c. 870. Any thoughts? Seemed persuasive to me but you know much more.
