@keoni@mastodon.nz Not sure how Mastodon does it but there are plenty of other options than using Google or Apple services to send direct to mobile.

@paw@mstdn.io @keoni@mastodon.nz sns still needs apns for Apple push, and firebase for android, for native push… everything else is just sparkling sms
