But still, for me at least it seems so much like a microcosmic example of how we has a society and culture have lost our way.
This was a place that I was connected to in one way or another for 15 years.
Where, no matter who you were or what standing you had there, the founder and CEO (who for a while was one of the wealthiest people in the U.S.) was 100% accessible, ate in the company cafeteria, and worked out in the company gym.
An org where everyone knew him simply as "Bill".

It was a place, where, in his final years and during the great recession, org leaders were given explicit instructions to find a way to temporarily reduce costs as, "under no circumstances would we be laying anyone off". And, they didn't...
