Automated weapons that can kill without human intervention are nothing new. The SGR-A1 was rolled out in Korean DMZ in the early 2000's. The SGR-A1 was equipped with a 5.56 mm Daewoo Precision Industries K3 machine gun, and according to We Are The Mighty, the sentry could be upgraded with an optional 40-mm Milkor MGL lightweight multiple-grenade launcher.
