I've been cooking my brain on how to handle HVAC for the lab rooms in the shop building for years now and sometimes I think I'm overthinking it and sometimes I think I'm underthinking it.
Basically, the building is 3000 ft² (≈280 m²) and nearly two stories, so I'm not going to climate control the whole thing. It's fiberglass insulated, but it still eventually reaches equilibrium with the outside because it's not perfectly sealed, and it's all steel.

So it makes sense just to climate control the enclosed lab rooms. They're all more or less closet sized, which means the energy requirements are pretty low. And they're inside of a larger insulated building, which does some buffering. The catch is that the ventilation requirements for the 3 rooms in question are like an HVAC exam.
