That writer and i eventually fell out anyways over a disagreement about what constitutes "gratuitous" Japanese and if "hakama" and "haori" have useful English equivalents.
I didn't consider it a great loss though, once i realized that my favorite story that they wrote was a one off short story about a character who belonged to their friend.

@NaClKnight@c.im oh sorry, Advanced Readers Copy! They're the copies that get sent out early to like reviewers, or as part of promotions. When the story's done and they're basically soliciting blurbs for the back of the book and compiling reviews for the official release. Like a restaurant soft launch basically!
