Two times in recent days, I've been offered to act as the Swedish face for a team of Japanese developers. According to the two very similar letters I wouldn't have to code, just handle the clients and pretend I'm the one coding. I assume that both that the mails are written by an LLM, and that any code delivered would be slop. But why frame this as Japanese developers? Why would they have problems getting customers? Why would they be cheaper than Swedish developers? #offshoring #development
