🇦🇺 #Volvo #Buses has unveiled Australia’s first electric articulated bus, the 18-metre Volvo BZL Electric Articulated, to meet growing demand for high-capacity, zero-emission urban transport. The low-floor, fully electric chassis is fitted with a locally built Volgren body, with the first vehicle produced in Perth for the Public #Transport Authority of Western #Australia (PTA). More than 140 rigid Volvo BZL Electric buses have been operating across Australia since 2022, providing an established support network. Volvo says the new model was developed for #Australian conditions and the PTA, with which it has worked for more than a decade. The PTA has taken delivery of more than 1,400 Volvo buses.
