It's actually completely normal for people to expect their politicians to have better politics than them. Having good politics is literally a politician's entire job. That is what they are supposed to be contributing to society. You don't do 40+ hours of work a week just to also have to do your politicians' jobs for them. Politicians are supposed to figure out what is good for their constituents and for their country and act accordingly. They are not supposed to mindlessly bounce from position to position based on the latest public opinion poll. They do good politics so that the rest of the populace doesn't have to. The average person cannot be expected to be an expert on politics. They do not have the time to be an expert on politics. That is why we have an entire class of people whose entire job is to be experts on politics. That the working class is expected to not only contribute more than their fair share to society and to master good politics and to protest and petition to make sure the buffoons they elect to office act engage in good politics is absurd! You are asking millions of people to do a job that could easily be done by a handful! #uspol #uspolitics #politics
