@mattblaze@federate.social @SteveBellovin@infosec.exchange If the crimp in the PhD pipeline isn't enough, partisan strings now being attached to federal research grants — when/if money is made available/released — add to setbacks the US scientific community is facing. They're self-inflicted injuries by a jingoistic, lying administration intent on racing to the bottom — back to the Dark Ages.
