@cargot_robbie@urbanists.social lol just getting started cycling. We are very much doing fun trips around our area, mostly on roads, but sometimes on designated gentle trail paths
So not hardcore but I want to wear something comfortable and appropriate for cycling, but I can't tuck so I feel uncomfortable that my bulge may be visible. And I don't know if there's a middle ground in terms of clothing

It will depend a bit on what equipment you're starting with, but I have a couple gaffes from UR Basics that are very comfortable and effective at smoothing out the area without tucking. Under a pair of bike shorts I feel secure when riding that nothing's bulging, though my gear is on the compact side to begin with. A tennis skort might be better than bike shorts if a gaffe isn't an option? People don't see what they aren't looking for, they won't see past the skirt
