@b3lt3r@mastodon.b3lt3r.com I expect that there will be some malpractice suits required and it’s going to very much depend on jurisdiction & the degree of regulatory capture therein whether anyone will be held to account and even if some individual practitioners are held accountable, unless those verdicts influence insurance rates for doctors or clinics significantly then it’s kind of an individual solution to a systemic problem with the vendors likely skating by without any meaningful penalties or constraints on their actions 😕
