Press freedom is under pressure globally and in Europe. Recently, in Brussels, journalists were removed from a US administration event just for doing their job. This is a major wake-up call. A free, independent media landscape is vital for democracy. As a pan-European party, Volt believes that cross-border threats to press freedom require strong European action.
