There's a detailed 1913 map of the Togo Plateau, a forest reserve in Ghana bordered by six communities. Cartographically interesting is that that Akpafu-Todzi, the oldest present-day village of the Mawu, breaks out of the frame of the map The reason is that surveyors Grüner & Sprigade correctly understood that this was historically the most important Mawu village (with Odomi and Mempeasem both established later) I've written about the map on my blog: https://ideophone.org/the-gruner-map-a-1913-map-of-the-togo-plateau-in-present-day-ghana/ #mapping #ghana
