@ftranschel@norden.social I am new to #linux, so there still is a lot to learn.
#batocera is offering a lot of stuff for #gamers. #cachyos is not. The goals of the distros are quite different. Cachy OS runs very well on my Lenovo Laptop.
What I haven't managed to work yet is Nvidia GeForce Now. Steam is up and running ...

@AndyGER@mastodon.social @ftranschel@norden.social Batocera basically provides a very stripped down Linux system which only contains the bare minimum to run Emulators and ties everything together with the ES-DE frontend. You won’t be very happy with it when it comes to boring tasks like file management, Office stuff, printing, surfing the web, etc. If you want a painless general purpose distribution wit a gaming focus, #Bazitte would be a proper choice.
