#ScribesAndMakers 27 What's your favorite woodwind? Saxophone. I learned to play when I was 9, but gave it up by 13 due to the vilest "teacher" I ever met. Years later, I learned to appreciate the greats from Charlie Parker on up, and I think my limited time playing helped me to better understand the nuances. Coltrane, though? The absolute GOAT. I listen to his work and only half envision how he's creating that magic.
