#Belgium #WorldCup team isn't happy, and I don't blame them.
I don't know what their options are, but they should use every resource available to them to keep Balogun out of the game on Monday, regardless the controversy surrounding the call. The red card was given, and it should stand.
There have been 12 red cards in the World Cup, including the one just given to England tonight.
None of those players were given special consideration. Not one.

@PattyHanson@mastodon.social You know it’s bad when the conduct is too egregious for *Sepp Blatter*. I see UEFA have publicly condemned it as well. Cynical me says it’ll be a flash in the pan and everyone will grumble about it but do nothing. Maybe Infantini will be shuffled towards the door at the next opportunity. Unduly-Optimistic me would like to think that UEFA could make a serious threat about breaking from FIFA after the tournament, leave the US, CONCACAF and the Qataris to do whatever it is they want and set up a new world tournament with other reliable countries. Guess it all depends whether Balogun chooses to play and if so, whether the US wins.
